Welcome to the Crown

Until recently, I sadly never knew how Pasadena became known as “The Crown City”.

According to the City of Pasadena, the word itself means “valley” in the Ojibwa (Chippewa) Native American language. However, it has been interpreted as the “Crown of the Valley” and “Key of the Valley.”

History is amazing when we take the time to learn it.

This project is a mixture of my genuine interests in people, places, history, business, and government. I hope to incorporate them all into a something that tells a story of a character rich city that has an endless future.
